Within the framework of the Project Implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics, the visit is being made by the Expert, Mr. Igor Chernyshev.
According to the signed Twining Partnership Contract between the Agency on statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Joint Venture (Consortium) headed by DevStat, a new Team Leader of the expert group, Key Expert, Mr. Igor Chernyshev is visiting the Agency from 10 -22 July 2017.
The meeting was held in the Agency on statistics attended by the heads and specialists from the central office departments of the Agency and MCC.
The meeting was opened by Deputy Director of the Agency, Mr. Davlatzoda Kiyomiddin who introduced the participating with Mr. Igor Chernyshev, Team Leader of the expert group on the project implementation. It was noted that the expert group will provide advisory services within the implementation of various components of the project. Mr. Davlatzoda also suggested that in a view to optimize the reporting forms, it is necessary to create a working group from the specialists of the Agency on statistics.
Further, Mr. Igor Chernyshev stressed that he was selected as the Team Leader of the group this month and in future he will work until the end of the Project with the Agency on statistics. Optimization of statistical works and suggestions for future work is one of the goals of his visit. The Expert noted that he is planning to hold a seminar for the AS employees on the optimization of the statistical reporting forms. Each sectoral departments and divisions have been entrusted to draw up an inventory of the reporting forms taking into account the SDGs indicators, eliminating duplication of indicators, todays requirements, reducing the burden on respondents and local bodies of statistics. He noted that the optimization of information collection is a part of the NSDS for planning for the period of 2018-2022.
