The visit of the International Expert Mr. Jose-Louis Cervera to the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan

 According to the Twining Partnership Contract signed between the Agency on statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Joint Venture (Consortium) headed by DevStat the visit was made by the key expert, Mr. Jose-Louis Cervera during period of May 2 to May 5, 2017.

The main objective of the expert mission was to assist the AS in developing and implementing of the strategy for statistical information dissemination by introducing the dissemination activities outside the Agency and targeting them to a wider audience and more systematic feature. In addition to support in optimizing the prospects of publications and other disseminated materials to improve the corporate style and image of the AS. 

The main tasks were the following: Assistance in the creation of an electronic library, widespread use of standard software packages, development of automated technology, ensuring the confidentiality of personal data, etc., which are designated to improve the collection and dissemination of data.
During the mission by Mr. Jose-Louis Cervera, the presentation was held on new trends in disseminating data using modern Internet technologies by a specially organized working group of the Agency on statistics.
During the mission, the expert visited the Main Statistics Department in Dushanbe, the Regional Statistics Office in Nurek with a visit to jamoats.
Mr. Jose-Louis Cervera also participated at the donor meeting, which took place on May 4th in the Agency on statistics. At the donor meeting among other things the report on the activities carried out from October 2016 to April 2017 was discussed within the framework of the ECASTAT Project “Implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS), including information on the Twinning Partnership with the JV “DevStat”.
