Presentation of the Survey of Children Labor in Tajikistan
On 19th December of 2014 in Dushanbe Serena Hotel a presentation on topic the Survey of Children Labor in Tajikistan was conducted. Representatives from more than 20 ministries, agencies and other organizations took part in the event, including: Committee on the Right of a Child under President of RT, Statistical Agency under President of RT, Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of Population of RT, International Labor Organization, mass media and others.
Director of Statistical Agency under President of the Republic of Tajikistan Ms. Hasanzoda Gulnora Kenja opened the event with an introductory speech. In the speech she noticed especial attention of Government of RT toward this issue and appreciated close collaboration with ILO in period of the survey.
One hundred and fifty employees of the agency took part in the survey. Representative of Committee on the Right of a Child under President of RT Ms. Zebo Nabotova, First Deputy of The Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of Population of RT Mr. Eminjon Sangizoda and Coordinator of International labor Organization Mr. Sobir Aminov made speeches and noticed that the issue is very important in the present.
Then theProject Coordinator of ILO-IPEC Ms. Muhayo Hasabekova represented topic The Activity of ILO-IPEC in Tajikistan – Affords of Government, Social Partners, and International Organizations. Head of a Department of Demography, Employment of Population and Social Statistic of Statistical Agency under President of the Republic of Tajikistan – Mr. Abduvali Kulov represented in detail topic The Survey of Children Labor in 2012-2013. In the presentation he has defined term of children labor, described reasons of it, and shared formation about a questioning conducted among 22.6 present of children in an age of 5-17. It was mentioned that the questioning was organized according to the present standards.
In the closing part of the event participants discussed information and made further recommendations.
