On October 22, 2013 there was a meeting of the Board on the results of the state statistical bodies’ activities for the first 9 months of 2013
Mukhammadieva B.Z., Director of the Statistical Agency, opened the meeting.
The detailed report on the results and objectives of the state statistical bodies for the past 2013 year was made by Sh.Sh. Shokirov, First Deputy Director of the Statistical Agency. The report notes that the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan performed the statistical work program which was approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2013. In total 7277 statistical activities were performed.
During the first 9 months of 2013 the Agency received 96 orders and 202 requests and instructions from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, 759 letters from the ministries and departments which were promptly answered.
The draft regulation of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on "Approval of Statistical Work Program for 2014" was developed. The activities of the program had been agreed and discussed with the relevant ministries and agencies, and submitted to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for approval.
During the first 9 months of 2013 the following collections were prepared and submitted: 11 collections on Agricultural Statistics, 2 books on population census results of Tajikistan, ‘Tajikistan in figures and collections on: education, logistic and maintenance support of Tajikistan, the population size of the Republic of Tajikistan as of January 1, 2013; preliminary report on 2012 Tajikistan Demographic and Health Survey, finance of Tajikistan, prices, agriculture in the Republic of Tajikistan, main indicators of the household budget survey of Tajikistan, health care, construction, industry in the Republic of Tajikistan and others.
In the reporting period the users were provided with 157 bulletins, 29 pieces of information, 119 pieces of express information and 63 reports. The report "On socio-economic situation of the Republic of Tajikistan" was prepared based on classification of economic activities which corresponds to the international classification.
One of the central issues of the report was devoted to the discussion of the agricultural census and early census in remote areas.
K.D. Norov, Deputy Director, noted in particular that, in accordance with the organizational plan the census will cover 1,062,000 households. For this purpose 121 departments for the agricultural census, 471 instructor stations, and 2526 enumeration districts were built up and provided with the necessary materials. 3.2 thousands temporary employees will be involved in the Agricultural Census in general.
Taking into account that movement in remote mountainous regions in winter is limited, the agricultural census in GBAO, in the districts of Baldzhuvon, Shurobod, Muminobod, in the district of Hovaling of Khatlon oblast; in Gornaya Matcha and Aini of Sughd oblast; in the districts of Djirgatal, Tojikobod, Tavildara, Nurabad, Rasht and Rogun, in the mountainous part of Ganchi district, in the cities of Penjikent and Kayrakkum in Sughd oblast, in the territory of Ziddi in Varsob district and in jamoat Almosi in Hissar district (generally 139 households) the agricultural census was held September 15 through October 15, 2013.
The heads of the main oblast statistical offices and the city of Dushanbe made reports of the activities of the local statistics bodies.
Specific tasks were set and an appropriate decision was taken by the Board in order to complete the statistical work program, to conduct the agricultural census of the Republic of Tajikistan, and to upgrade the facilities of the local statistical bodies. The Board also took decisions on other issues.
